This one is not quite as good
I'm a huge fan and loved both Dexter and Dexter: New Blood. The first episode left me feeling sort of meh, but the second and third episodes really picked up and got me involved. I like most of the actors in this.
It comes off as one dimensional and flat
I usually love Sarah Michelle Gellar, but I feel like with this character, she's portrayed as so hard and brittle. The actor who is playing young Bautista is terrible. He's trying so hard to imitate the original actor/character, that it seems like a parody and very fake.
It didn't bother me that the young Dexter is pretty emotional
Maybe he's more emotional because he's young and can't control himself as well as the more mature Dexter. I look forward to more episodes and I'm really looking forward to Dexter: Resurrection.. "One Hundred Years of Solitude" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
