Line of Events

While searching an abandoned space station, a group of young space colonists encounter the most terrifying life form in the universe. Director Federico Alvarez explains his established rule for Alien: Romulus that “if it can be practical, it will be practical,” so the actors always worked against the physical representation of the xenomorph. Physical scenery, realistic creatures and miniatures were used wherever possible to facilitate further work on visual effects. When Reyn shuts down the ship’s gravity and shoots all the aliens, all their blood hangs in the air in long, smeared patterns. Due to weightlessness in real life, liquids take the form of spheres instead of spreading out into long flat pieces like in the movie.

Predictable and shallow plot and characters

I watched it last night and was very disappointed. There was so much noise around him. It’s really just another mediocre Alien movie that we really don’t need. Some moments made me laugh out loud, and not in a good way. It’s a literal facsimile of the first two films in terms of look, feel, and tone.

Same story with The Terminator

Copier copy. Yes, there are interesting new moments, but moments don’t make a movie. The ending was also a complete failure, which we already saw in Alien: Resurrection. We don’t need movies anymore. Everything that needed to be said was already said in the first two films.
